Foraging Along the River at Port Eliot Festival

Returning for a fourth year, wild food expert Stuart Woodman will be offering more of his popular foraging walks around the festival site, taking in hedgerow, woodland and coastal plants along the way, showing you what you can safely eat and what to avoid. Port Eliotʼs beautiful grounds make for particularly fertile foraging and this time of year sees natureʼs larder well stocked with plenty of wild edibles to tantalise your tastebuds. The walks primarily cover common native plants and their culinary uses, giving you the tools to safely identify a number of truly delicious species that will ensure you never look at nature in quite the same way again.

Stuart has been teaching foraging and wild food cookery for a number of years in Cornwall and beyond, working with groups as diverse as The Wildlife Trust, 7th Rise and Bacardi on a number of projects focusing on foraging, food and drink.

This activity is also happening on the Saturday and Sunday of the festival the the same times.
